Speaker
Pastor Rick Hamrick, Youngsville Free Methodist
Rick Hamrick has pastored the Youngsville Free Methodist Church since 1999. Ministry is his fourth
career. He entered the workforce in 1981 as a machinist, and went back to school to become a nurse
when the steel industry folded. He worked at Titusville Hospital as an LPN for several years before
taking a full-time position with the National Guard. He retired as a First Sergeant several years after
assignment to the Youngsville congregation.
In the last 10 years of ministry God has been taking him into a deeper relationship than he believed
possible, through the counseling and guidance of the Holy Spirit. One of his greatest regrets is not
realizing how much more God wanted to offer earlier in his life. Holiness and living in our identity as
Christians has been his passion for several years.
He and wife Marlene enjoy being grandparents to 5 wonderful grandkids, and parents to three adult
children. He occupies himself by starting projects and not finishing them, telling stories about how
much harder it was years ago, and selectively listening to advice from his wife and others.
Pastor Rick will be leading us for our two services. During these services we will be focusing on learning to be the cornerstones for our family's faith.
